Event Details

Founding members Paul, Rachy and Dave formed Radio Clash from the ashes of Johnny Fontaine and the Punk Rock Explosion two years ago and have been blasting UK stages with their all-action tribute to The Clash ever since. Latest recruit, Sharp, boasts a drumming pedigree that stretches back to Wolverhampton-based industrial rock trailblazers David’s Head.
One thing all four members of Radio Clash have in common is a genuine love for the music of The Clash coupled with a desire to recreate the live sound as closely as possible. You may not be able to go and see The Clash any more but you sure as hell can go and listen to Radio Clash as they nail the punk, the funk, the reggae and the pure rock’n’roll attack of ‘the only band that matters’.

Support band the Shamones are worth the price of admission alone with their mesmerising, blitzkrieg tribute to the godfathers of punk the Ramones. The Barry-based trio are returning to The Globe by popular demand after a hugely successful debut was documented by Globe TV. Gabba Gabba Hey!

The Shamones is the definitive tribute to The Ramones.

The ultimate tribute to iconic New York punks The Ramones, playing all the classic songs such as "Rockaway Beach", "Blitzkrieg Bop", "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker", "Beat on the Brat", "Cretin Hop", "Pinhead" and loads more. The Shamones deliver an outstanding set of over 30 Ramones classics with fantastic attention to musical detail. Hey Ho Let's Go!

Formed in late 2010 when Andy Johnson coaxed Bryn Merrick (former Damned bassist) out of musical retirement. Dave Johnson was soon recruited on drums and The Shamones were born. The band have been perfecting the classic Ramones sound since and are fast becoming recognised as the best tribute around to the New York punk heroes. The Shamones recently played at Tribfest, Europe's biggest and best tribute band festival www.tribfest.co.uk
